Matt's Birthday

Happy 27th Birthday Matt (Daddy). Today is my sweet husband's 27th birthday. Jacob helped me make Daddy breakfast in bed this morning after we let him sleep in! We spent a nice morning at home together as a family. We had lunch at OD and DD's and swam in the pool. Uncle Mitch (OD's brother), and Grandpa and Sarah came over to join the celebration along with Uncle David and Uncle Chris. We had a baseball pinata and everything. It was a great day. Happy Birthday honey. We love you very much.

Precious Innocence

Sorry again for no pictures, but I believe this story will be enough to touch your heart like it did mine and Matt's this morning. So Jacob woke up and came in to give me his morning hug and after asking for breakfast he began talking to me. He said, "Mommy, I had bad dream, a lion came and was roaring, but it's okay because Jesus gave me a hug just like this." (and he wrapped his arms around himself) I am so thankful that God has given Matt and I the ability to plant seeds in Jacob and Hannah's life and that at his young age, he can verbalize when Jesus reveals Himself to him. Jesus did say, "Let the little children come to me." We have told Jacob that he doesn't have to be scared that Mommy and Daddy will help to keep him safe, but that Jesus is always with him and to not be afraid. It is just so amazing to see him tell us that those words are true (not that I have doubted it). Thank you God for being so faithful and for giving my sweet little boy a hug! Have a great weekend everyone.

Cow says "Moo" and Potty Training

Well, I will apologize now that there will not be any pictures because our camera is a little under the weather right now. Thank goodness for a warranty. We plan to get it fixed this weekend. The kids are doing great. Hannah has learned animal noises and loves saying, "Moo" Her little mouth and shaped like an oval and her face is soooo cute when she says it. I will try to get it on video soon. Jacob finally decided to be interested in potty training and he is doing great. We are so excited to only have to pay for diapers for one child now!!

Mothers' Day weekend was fun. Nana and Grandanny came in town and we spent Saturday with them and Aunt Kim, Uncle Jeff, and cousin Brady. We also got to see OD, DD, Uncle Chris, and Uncle David. It was a busy weekend and everyone was very tired. Tomorrow is Jacob's last day of Mother's Day Out for the year. I know he will miss his little friends and his wonderful teachers. We will have to do play dates with some of the little ones this summer. That is about all that is new around here.

Jacob and Hannah do want to say welcome to their new friend, Campbell Cochran who entered the world on Monday, May 12th. They can't wait to meet him and to play with big sister Bailey.
Congratulations Cochran family!

Oh Jacob.....

Well, our little boy loves any excuse to get out of bed 10 times before finally going to sleep like we asked him too. So on time #3 out of the room tonight...He was saying, "Here daddy you can have it." Matt and I were both kind of ignoring his talking and telling him to go back to bed. As he was walking towards his room, he said, "Daddy, I took my toenail off." Matt turned him around and Jacob handed daddy his toenail...Yes folks the whole thing. We are not sure what caused the toenail to get loose and begin to come off, but Jacob finished the job. So after some Neosporin, a Little Einstein's bandaid, socks (so he won't take the bandaid off) and mommy scratching his back for 1 minute, he finally went to sleep. You've got to love little boys. We sure do love ours!

Hug Your Baby Hannah

Hannah's new thing she loves to do is hug her baby dolls! I took these two pictures of her I wanted to share.
